RetroRocket 01

Completed in March of 2003, RetroRocket 01 was the first AeroPod made. Over a year in the making, this Ferrari-red prototype won first prize for sculpture at the "Art of the Automobile" competition at the Toronto International Auto Show in February, 2004. The curvacious AeroPod form was built up and refined around the rectangular compartment, sized to fit, among other things, fifteen bottles of wine. Now embellished with "racing circle" stainless steel and smoked mirror aluminum, RetroRocket 01 marks the end of a long development process and the birth of a new series of sculptures.
